A FNNBOA membership now offers First Nations building officials access to more building and construction resources than ever before
INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
SHANNONVILLE, ON - Mar 12, 2019 - Over the past year, FNNBOA has been working with CCMC to develop training opportunities and resource links that will be invaluable to FNNBOA membership
FNNBOA has been working closely with the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC), part of the National Research Council, to develop training opportunities and resource links that will be invaluable to membership.
This arrangement with CCMC will save First Nations building officials thousands of dollars, by providing easy online access to essential information that will help improve building quality and sustainability in First Nations communities.
With their $150 membership fee, FNNBOA members will now be able to access three essential resources at no extra cost: the Illustrated User’s Guide of the National Building Code (NBS); guides to help implement specifications, covering all phases of construction; and, most importantly, CSA standards cited in the National Building Code.
FNNBOA interviewed key First Nations and other building professionals, asking them to explain the value and importance of using each of these resources in all aspects of construction today.
They are excited to share this wealth of critical knowledge with our members, to help them build better and smarter in their own communities.
